曾經，透過自然環境的潔淨能力，可以將農作與畜牧所產生的廢料循環處理。但是面對雜混與集約的生產方式所產生的大量廢棄物，似乎未經妥善處理就直接排入自然河道與溝渠，已經造成農村環境的破壞。
In old times, waste of agriculture and livestock raising could be used or solved in natural cycles or production cycles. Today, the massive waste mixed with all materials produced during mass production are released directly to drainages or rivers without appropriate process, causing great damages to the environment.
Algae - Village （簡稱Al-llage）是一個能淨化水質再生能源的工業基盤設計的農居概念，像是自然環境裡的水藻能夠過濾水中雜質與行光合作用，用以復育農村的生態並具有回收有機能源的能力。
“Algae Village”(Al-llage) is a project to design the water purifying facilitieswhile regenerating energy for farming villages. This system works like algae that filter water during the photosynthesis. It restores ecology and helps recycle organic energy.
「水藻」淨水系統是透過鄰近溝渠，擴大溝堤設置一個兼具有機循環系統與淨水系統的基盤。以自然濕地淨化水系統來進行環境復育工作，並且搭配系統性的統一收集民生廢料與農業的廢糞水機制，提供附近渠道灌溉與排水的功能，以深化畜牧園區的發展。
This algae water purifying device is installed in an augmented pit beside an embankment of a drainage ditch, it clears water with organic methods. In addition to natural wetlands that recuperate the environment and filter water, a recycle system is to collects wastewater of households, agricultural irrigation and livestock farms and recycles it for irrigation and livestock raising again.
將這樣的系統整合成一個「套裝」，「能源循環開發工業園區」與「畜牧養豬農場」可以進一步與「社區開發」結合成一個「策略聯盟」計畫。建構一個新的農居形態，把農村聚落回歸於與自然生態循環結合利用的狀態，解決畜牧與農村結合的機會。
The facilities are incorporated into a set, consisting a “industrial park of recycled energy development” and “livestock farms” which can make strategies with communities about how to construct a brand new living style in rural areas. Thus the natural cycles of materials are recovered, and agriculture and livestock farms can work together again.
